Wondering how to style a bodysuit? With these simple tips, you can effortlessly style a bodysuit any way you’d like.
I’m obsessed with bodysuits. I think after wearing my first bodysuit I fell in love with the ease and simplicity of it all. If you’re like me and constantly worrying about your shirt riding up or your baby pulling your shirt down, then a bodysuit is the way you’ll want to go. I mean how annoying is it to constantly have to pull down your shirt when you’re wearing the cutest outfit?
How to Style a Bodysuit
I think one of the reasons most moms stray away from bodysuits is because they aren’t sure how to style it. I’ll admit that they can be quite intimidating if you’re used to wearing athleisure or flowy dresses all the time. Honestly though, experimenting with different styles of clothing until you find the right staple pieces for your wardrobe is a must. After having kids it took me a while to narrow down my signature mom style. I was all over the place but at the end of the day I just wanted my wardrobe to be 3 things: stylish, functional and versatile.
Bodysuits allowed me to have all 3 of those things in one piece.
So how in the world do you style a bodysuit? Simple. You style it the same way you would any other top. Don’t overthink it when it comes to styling your bodysuits. Just like regular tops, bodysuits come in different styles and colors and can be paired with pretty much anything you already have in your closet.

With a cardigan
My go-to mom look, especially during the fall months, is a bodysuit with a cardigan. It is the easiest and most effortless look in the book. If you’re a jeans and t-shirt kind of girl, this is all you.
With ripped jeans
Good old fashion ripped jeans always work. Any type of bodysuit can go with ripped jeans. Throw on a leather jacket, kimono or a scarf as an accent piece to take your look to the next level. This is my favorite way to style it, especially for a date night at home.
With an oversized blazer
Blazers can be dressed up or down. Bodysuits can too. If I have a meeting or an event where business casual is the dress code then this is always my go-to. It’s so easy to just throw on a fun patterned blazer that compliments the season we’re in on top of my favorite bodysuit. If I’m wanting something a little more casual, I’ll throw on jeans. If I’m going for a full dressy look, slacks or even a two piece suit is always a good look.
With a midi skirt
You guys know that midi skirts are always my go to. I literally where them every season of the year. Bodysuits and midi skirts are probably my favorite combo. Together they accentuate your waist and look so good.
If you’re thinking about adding a few bodysuits to your wardrobe, I’m about to tell you the most important thing to keep in mind when you’re shopping. Buy the bodysuits with the buttons on the bottom. If you don’t remember anything else, remember that. When it’s time to go handle your business those buttons will come in handy because trust me when you say the absolute last thing you want to do when you’re in public is have to take everything off just to go to the bathroom. I’ve been there and it’s not pretty. Go for the suits with the buttons.
The best place I’ve gotten my . Their Soft AF collection is so amazing! They’re super soft and great quality. If you catch them on sale, you can get them for under $25.

Bianca, I just love it when you style your clothes with a bodysuit. I use to wear them as a kid but haven’t had one since. There are so many options at Abercrombie but I’m looking through them. Thanks for sharing.

I never even thought to wear a bodysuit as a kid. I guess my fashions weren’t as advanced then but I love them so much now. I hope you can find some you love!
