What is a Cricut?
A Cricut is a cutting machine. That’s the short answer. Their machines are computer controlled cutting machine that allows you to make so many things. There are a few different models of machines: Maker, Joy, and Explore Air 2.
Deciding which one is best for you definitely depends on the type of projects you’re wanting to create.
What does a Cricut machine do?
I’ve had my Cricut machine for a few years now and am completely in love with it. With a Cricut, you can cut and create multiple materials including vinyl, paperboard, cardstock, and more. I’ve made cards, t-shirts and party supplies. I love that with my Cricut the possibilities are endless. I’m able to craft almost any project I can think of without my fingers cramping from making scissor cute or writing notes in handmade cards.
Some of the machines like the Cricut Maker can cut through thin wood, fabric and more.
You can easily create projects in Cricut’s free Design Space software from your computer (MAC or Windows), smartphone or tablet. There are thousands of pre-made templates, images, and fonts to use.
