My husband and I visited Alden Suites in Saint Petersburg Beach located on the Gulf of Mexico for a media trip. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I’m a sucker for a good staycations especially a couples staycation. They’re like a breath of fresh air in our marriage. Staycations allow us to get away from the responsibilities of life even if it’s for just a little bit. They can turn a rocky patch into smooth sailing. When we were invited to Alden Suites, we knew we had to go. We needed to get away together to just enjoy each other’s company without needing to tend to T plus T was in need of some time with her grandparents so it turned out to be a win win. I’m not quite sure how I lived in St Petersburg for an entire year but never managed to visit the beach. My husband and I realized quickly how much of a mistake that was when our toes were in the white sand.
September is typically a low tourist season in Florida so it was the perfect time to visit Alden Suites. The beach was quiet and made the perfect setting for a weekend couples staycation.
Alden Suites Beachfront Resort
One thing that the photos don’t quite capture is the history behind this property. This family owned beach resort has been around for decades and has recently undergone a major facelift in which every suite and bungalow was renovated. The property is centrally located on St. Pete Beach and is surrounding by tons of restaurants within walking distance, attractions, and shops. The view from our room was absolutely breathtaking. I can’t even tell you how amazing the sunset was from our Gulf front suite during our time there.
Accommodations and Amenities
Alden Suites currently has 141 full suites. Each suite is equipped with a separate living room, kitchen, and bedroom. Some suites have adjoining rooms which are great for large families.
The suites include free wifi, a flat screen TV, large closet, and a full kitchen. Each kitchen has a refrigerator, cooktop, microwave, cookware, dishes, coffeemaker and utensils. All of the suites and balconies on the property are non-smoking which is something that I absolutely loved! Some of the suites are even pet friendly so be sure to ask the front desk for a pet friendly room if you plan on bringing your pet along.
The resorts amenities include two heated outdoor pools, a hot tub, tennis courts, gift shop, concierge services, an elevated grill deck, and beach. Alden Suites is one of the pretty impressive beach hotels on St Pete Beach.
There aren’t any restaurants on the property but there is a pretty tasty food truck. Snapper’s Oasis Food Truck is open from 11am to sunset and offers a variety of food options for Alden Suites guests. If you’re looking for a good drink, hit the cabana bar. The Cabana Beach Bar has got you covered with a perfect beach view and even has some specialty drinks.
