Take a look at our weekend trip to The King and Prince Resort. You’ll definitely want to take your family here after reading about our trip! This post was sponsored by King and Prince Resort. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Recently my family and I took a road trip to St. Simons Island. It was our first vacation of 2015 and it was the perfect choice! As soon as we arrived to St. Simons Island I fell in love. It’s a beautiful island in Georgia just shy of 4 hours from Orlando. The area is quiet and serene, but still has enough for a young family to enjoy. During our vacation, we were lucky enough to stay at The King and Prince Resort. I’ve heard nothing but good reviews about this resort so I was excited to experience it for myself.
Family Weekend Vacation at The King and Prince Resort
When we arrived at The King and Prince Resort, we were welcomed with open arms. One of my favorite things about the resort is that every kid gets their own special crown upon check-in. How awesome is that? Tatiana was so happy when she got her crown! The lobby was extremely beautiful, like something you would see in a movie. It was luxurious and the historic details in the architecture added something special. I’m a lover of history so when I found out about the hotel’s history during World War II, I was shocked. Before heading to our room, we toured the lobby to gawk at all of the artwork.
Our room was ready as soon as we arrived which was awesome especially after being on the road for almost 4 hours. We stayed in an Oceanfront room in the Oceanfront Building (talk about snazzy, huh?) Our room had 1 King bed and a sleeper sofa which was a great addition. The bed was comfy and spacious enough for the 3 of us. It also had a fridge and a mini bar area where you could prepare coffee and tea with the provided coffee pot (also another great addition). The bathroom had amazing lighting (perfect for selfies…I know because I took a bunch)! I loved that the room had a desk in it as well. It was perfect because I was able to sit there and get a little work done while everyone else was asleep without bothering anyone.
Another huge plus of the hotel was the location. The King and Prince is the only full service hotel located on the beach (yes, I said the only). It’s perfect place to stay when you want to visit the beach on your vacation. You don’t have to worry about lugging your stuff back and forth because you’re already on the beach. Oh, and let’s not forget about the 5 heated pools that the hotel has and the breathtaking view. The view from our room was incredible! Once we saw the view we were set on making The King and Prince Resort an annual family destination. I could picture my family on the beach during the summer months soaking up the sun and making memories.
We ate at Echo, the hotel’s restaurant, for breakfast and dinner. The food was delicious. All of the ingredients were fresh and perfectly seasoned. They offer a variety of options on the menu. Even the pickiest eater could find something to fall in love with at Echo.
All in all, my family loved our weekend vacay at The King and Prince. There were so many things to do during our stay! We can’t wait to go back and experience everything else that The King and Prince Resort has to offer.
I slipped away to the King & Prince in 2014 and agree with everything you said! 🙂 What an amazing resort! Maybe our family will bump into yours one year!
Sweet vacay. Everything looks beautiful!! 🙂
