Picking your dream dress is nerve-wracking. I’m sharing some of my fave picks along with a few BHLDN wedding dress shopping tips and never before seen photos.
My wedding dress was absolutely perfect!
I tried on 42 dresses before I found this one. I wanted something form fitting but flows enough to comfortably hold my baby bump. I searched and search and couldn’t find anything. I tried on dresses in New York, Orlando, and my hometown Palm Bay. Once I found out I would be 7 months pregnant at my wedding, I just took a leap of faith and ordered this dress online from BHLDN, owned by anthropologie, for under $1,000.
Tips for Finding the Perfect BHLDN Wedding Dress
1. Know your price point.
The first thing that you’ll want to consider before even heading to the BHLDN site is to know what you can afford. Before we even began wedding planning we sat down and created a budget. This allowed me to allocate a certain amount towards my dress.
2. Create a dream board.
There are literally hundreds of wedding dress styles and shopping for a dress can be overwhelming. I tried on over 40 dresses before I bought this one. Once your budget is set, start scouring online for dress styles that you love. Pin the dresses to a Pinterest board or print them out for inspiration.
3. Head to the website.
After you know what kind of dress you’re looking for you can head to the BHLDN website. I would suggest doing this with a friend or family member so they can help you decide if you’re not sure. Filter the options so that only the dresses in your budget appear. The last thing that you want is to see an amazing dress that you can’t afford.
4. Choose the dress of your dreams.
This is the hard part. I was able to narrow my choices down to 4 options. Ultimately I chose this dress because it was the best dress that would accommodate my growing belly. Getting married while pregnant isn’t easy y’all.
5. Ask questions.
If a BHLDN isn’t in your area, you can give them a call to ask questions. Their stylists are available and more than happy to answer any styling questions.
