A black faux leather jacket is perfect for both casual and dressy looks. It should be a staple in any woman’s fall wardrobe.
We’re officially in the part of the year where it’s freezing in the morning and hot as hell during the daytime. Some people call it the Fall in Florida. I’ve lived in Florida my entire life so I know how to dress during the fall so that I’m not dying from a heatstroke by the time lunchtime rolls around.
Layering is the key.
As a kid, I always used to hate layering. I didn’t want to walk around with all of those extra clothes in my backpack. My high school didn’t believe in lockers. I was always stuck lugging around any extra clothes that I had taken off by the end of the day. Then, I discovered the glory of a black faux leather jacket. It was a game changer.
A black faux leather jacket is the quintessential fall wardrobe staple. Why? It’s trendy, it keeps you warm, it’s great for layering. The best part is that it doesn’t break the bank. The one that I’m wearing in today cost me under $50 from Target. You can style a faux leather jacket so many different ways. Pair it with jeans and sneakers for a casual look. You could also throw on a dressy top and heels with those same jeans for a feminine edgy vibe. If I’m dressing up for a date with my hubs, I’ll throw that same black faux leather jacket over the shoulders of my dress to add a little something extra to my look plus it’ll keep me warm if I get cold.
Do you own a black faux leather jacket? What are some of your favorite ways to style it?
