My husband and I attended Disney After Hours for a Disney date night courtesy of Mickey himself. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Have you ever considered going on a Disney date night? Us either. I honestly never thought of Disney as being a date night destination but why not?!? It has everything you could need for a date night, especially during their after hours event. Good food, great entertainment, and even better people.
We try to have date nights at least once a month. Lately our schedule has been so hectic and it’s been a while. When we got the chance to experience Magic Kingdom after hours, I knew it was the perfect time to go on a date. Typically when we go to Disney, I skip most of the rides. Tatiana loves anything that rolls, swirls, and turns and that’s not for me.
With After Hours, we were able to get on all of the rides we loved with little to no wait. It allowed us a night of pretending we were back in our high school days when we fell in love.
After Hours Disney Date Night at Magic Kingdom
If you’ve never been to Magic Kingdom before and are wanting to experience it for the first time, I would highly suggest taking advantage of the After Hours tickets. Tickets can be purchased in advance for $119 or on the day of for just $124. You can check in at 7 P.M. to get a head start on your date night and ride every ride you’ve ever imagined until 1 A.M.
We got to the park at around 8 P.M. and were able to visit 12 attractions. If you’re planning on heading there around 7 to check-in, definitely consider getting fast passes too. With fast passes, you can hop on even more rides!
What’s included in my ticket
Each ticket includes ice cream treats, bottles beverages and popcorn. Have you ever wanted a Mickey ice cream sandwich but never allowed yourself to indulge in one because you knew your kids would end up eating it all? I’ve been there. I ate all the ice cream on our date night. My husband even got in on the action too!
If you need something more than snacks for your date night, you can stop in to Main Street Bakery and Casey’s Corner on Main Street, U.S.A. I love the corn dog nuggets at Casey’s Corner!
What rides are open during after hours?
Over 25 of Magic Kingdom’s most popular rides are open during the event. We got to get on rides that we have never been on before because the lines were pretty much non-existent. Space Rangers is officially my new favorite ride!
