Looking for somewhere to stay on your next trip to Sarasota? Hotel Indigo Sarasota is a luxury boutique hotel and hidden gem. This post was sponsored by Visit Sarasota County.
Where to Stay: Hotel Indigo Sarasota
A few weeks ago my husband and I went away for a long overdue couples staycation. This was only our second time to Sarasota and we were determined to have fun the entire weekend. Before we arrived, we had our itinerary all planned. Hotel Indigo Sarasota is the first luxury boutique hotel that we’ve ever stayed in so we were in for a surprise.
Upon arrival, we were instantly greeted by a friendly staff in the beach themed lobby. The property is located in the heart of Sarasota’s Downtown Art District. The entire property mimicked the relaxing vibe of Sarasota. With only 95 rooms, you’ll feel right at home at Hotel Indigo. The outdoors of the hotel offers a quaint tropical oasis that you can take advantage of while staying on property. It’s perfect for those days when you want a quick dip in the pool or hot tub.
Our Room
The rooms are nothing short of warm and inviting. The art and beach decor flowed into the rooms as well. We were in a King room since we had no kids in tow. One thing to note when reserving your room is that there isn’t much of a view. It’s on the city side of the bridge so there isn’t a waterfront view.
Where to Visit When Staying at Hotel Indigo Sarasota
There is a long laundry list of places that you can visit when staying at Hotel Indigo. A nearby favorite is the Ringling Museum. A few other places to visit are St. Armand’s Circle, Marie Selby Gardens, and any of the neighboring beaches. If it’s raining, here’s my top family-friendly rainy day activities to take part in.

The Verdict
If you’re looking for luxury accommodations without the luxury price tag then Hotel Indigo Sarasota is a great choice. We would definitely stay here again without hesitation. One thing to note is that it is a smaller property so you won’t get the bells and whistles like pool slides but in a city like Sarasota, there is so much to do outside that you won’t even miss any of those amenities.

I love the ambiance in the room since it looks classy and really homey. What’s the cost of stay per night?
Bianca Dottin says
I’ve seen the rate as low as in the $130s per night. The rate varies depending on the season of course. Winter is usually a busier season for the area and the rates tend to be higher then.
