This post was sponsored by Rosen Shingle Creek Orlando. My family and I received complimentary accommodations in exchange for this review.

A few weeks ago my family and I packed our bags and headed about 30 minutes from home to Rosen Shingle Creek Orlando. The resort has been on our staycation bucket list for as long as I can remember. As a UCF grad, Rosen is a name that I am all too familiar with. Not only is he a philanthropist but he is a business man as well owning many hotels in the Orlando area.
After Hurricane Irma, we were out of power for 9 long days. The Rosen properties were offering a special rate to families who needed somewhere to stay during and after the hurricane. We were on of those families. We stayed at a sister property of Rosen Shingle Creek. That first experience with the Rosen brand was one to remember.
Rosen Shingle Creek Orlando – American Girl Staycation
Rosen Shingle Creek Orlando offers an American Girl package that we knew Tatiana would love! After such a great experience after Irma, I knew that I wanted Rosen Shingle Creek to be a part of the summer Florida staycation series that I was working on for the summer. Their American Girl package sets them apart from other resorts in the area. They are the only luxury hotel in the area to offer the packages.
Our Room
Upon our arrival to the hotel, we checked in and received a special package from American Girl for Tatiana. Our room was large enough to accommodate our family comfortably. We had a perfect view of the pools and the golf course from our room on the 14th floor. During our stay, we also had access to the VIP Suite which I highly recommend. In the suite, they have drinks available all day long, continental breakfast, evening appetizers, and dessert after dinner.
What’s in The American Girl Package
Rosen Shingle Creek offers two American Girl packages, the Premium and Sleepover Deluxe. For this stay, we enjoyed the Sleepover Deluxe package which includes the following:
- One night deluxe Accommodations
- Buffet breakfast for two at Café Osceola (additional guests may be added for $13.40 per person)
- One American Girl® doll-size travel bed
- One American Girl® hotel robe and slippers for your doll
- One American Girl® PJ for your doll
- Complimentary Wi-Fi in all public areas and guest rooms
- Complimentary scheduled shuttles to Universal Orlando Resort™, SeaWorld® Orlando, Aquatica® and theme parks (by reservation only)
- No resort fee
Activities to Enjoy
Rosen Shingle Creek has so many activities to enjoy without even having to leave the property. The hotel offers 4 pools, multiple restaurants, a golf course, fishing pier, arcade, fitness center and more. To be honest, we couldn’t pull ourselves away from the pool during most of our stay but we did take a quick trip to the fishing pier and arcade before bedtime.
The arcade is fun for both adults and kids. Be sure to bring cash for the games though as they are not complimentary. Each game is $1 to play.
The Final Verdict
The hotel property is by far one of the most impressive that we’ve ever stay at in Orlando. However, there are a few things to note. No outside food is allowed by the pool so be sure to keep that in mind if you’re thinking of bringing any snacks or drinks poolside. The VIP Suite is a worthy addition to add to your reservation if you’re looking for a place to relax in between all of the activities. Shingle Creek’s location is nearby to popular attractions like Universal, Sea World, and Disney so getting to the parks is not a problem.
Something about experiencing a staycation the American Girl way made our stay extra special. Tatiana loved having Luciana along with her every step of the way during our trip. We enjoyed our stay at Rosen Shingle Creek and would definitely consider staying their again for our next staycation.

What a great experience to share with a child! My daughter usually refuses dolls, but recently she did ask for an American Girl doll – a Mexican one though, she said! LOL I told her they come in all the beautiful shades.
