What’s your kids’ school supply vibe for the year? My kids love having personalized school supplies that reflect their personality and individuality. This post is sponsored by Cricut. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Like every other parent right now I’m scrambling to get everything my kids need for school. Although we’re homeschooling again this year, we still have a list of supplies that the kids need to get their school work completed. After I get all of the supplies that they need from the store, I like to add a special touch to create these personalized school supplies for them with my Cricut.
Personalized School Supplies
One of the perks of being a part of the Cricut family is that personalization is super easy. Making these personalized school supplies is a fun and easy way to add a bit of their personality to things like notebooks and pencil holders. My kids are constantly going back and forth over what belongs to who so it’s super important for me to make sure they both have their own school supplies labeled with their names. This eliminates and arguing about what belongs to who and makes everybody’s life a little easier.
How to Make Personalized School Supplies
Making the personalized school supplies is super easy and takes little to no effort.
First we decide what we want to personalize. This time around I chose to do their art sketchbooks, pencil holders, and a few folders. If your kids are heading to school in person, you could also personalize their backpacks, lunchboxes and even their clothes!
Once we’ve decided what we want to personalize, I head to Cricut DesignSpace. From there I let them each pick a font that they love. There are literally hundreds of fonts and designs to choose from. It’s important to me that they pick their own designs and colors because I want the personalization to reflect their personality.
After they’ve chosen their fonts and any designs, I cut the designs using my Cricut Explore 3. I love using the Cricut Explore 3 because it makes faster cuts. It allows me to get through all of the school supplies in an afternoon without taking up too much time. Cutting the designs is a breeze and applying them is super easy too! I love that my kids can help apply the permanent smart vinyl to their school supplies using the transfer tape. Getting them involved makes things fun and it makes them happy that they’re able to help.
Whether the school year is right around the corner for your kids or you’re coming back from a break and need a few new supplies, you’re kids will really appreciate a few personalized school supplies.
