By now you know just how much I love my Cricut machines. I’m a proud owner of a Cricut Joy and Maker. When the Maker 3 and Explore 3 were released I was so excited. The Cricut Explore 3 is smarter and faster than ever before. It has lots of the old features but also new ones that you’ll fall in love with too.

So how is the Explore 3 different than the Air Explore 2? Well, Cricut has dropped the “Air” off of the title for starters but don’t worry, the Explore 3 still has bluetooth capabilities. One of the thing that I love most about the Cricut Explore 3 is that it doesn’t have a dial to select project materials like the Air Explore 2 does. You can select which project materials you’ll be using right in the Cricut Design Space software.
can still cut the same materials as the older machine but can also cut smart materials. The new 13″ wide Smart materials can cut up to 12 feet long without a mat. Smart vinyl, smart iron-on and smart paper are the newest materials that can be used with the Explore 3. They come in a variety of colors and can be bought in rolls as long as 75 feet. The new smart materials allow your Cricut to make cuts faster than before, up to 8 inches per second.
The (sold separately from the machines) is so genius! It can be attached to the bottom of the machines to hold rolls into place. It feeds into the machine and even has a built-in trimmer. You can definitely use all of the materials with your Cricut without the roll holder but it makes everything so much easier.
The new Cricut Explore 3 is perfect for everyone, beginners and advanced crafters.
