Are you always searching for something fun and new to do? Island H2O Live is immersive and filled with rides that are perfect for any age.
We experienced Island H2O Live as a part of a media event. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Are you always searching for something fun and new to do? Island H2O Live is exactly the place you want to be. T and I had the chance to visit when they first opened, and let me tell you that we were not disappointed. It’s the newest water park located in Kissimmee, Florida just right outside of Orlando. The park is immersive and filled with rides that are perfect for any age. If you’re looking for activities near Walt Disney World this is the perfect option.
Things to Know Before Visiting Island H20 Live – Newest Orlando Water Park
Island H2O Live! offers something for everyone in the family. It’s located right across from the Margaritaville Resort. If you’re staying at the resort, you can get there by walking or on one of the hotel shuttles that runs every 15 minutes. Upon arrival, you’ll receive your tickets and a special RFID wristband with some pretty cool features. With the wristband you’ll be able to keep track of the others in your group, personalize music and lights on select rides, take photos, win points throughout the park, and share content via your social media accounts.
One thing to note is that you cannot bring outside food and drinks into the water park. Tubes and rafts also aren’t allowed and you must use the ones provided inside of the water park. You definitely can leave and re-enter the park which is great especially if you’re staying at Margaritaville Resort across the street.
Parking is free and there is tons of parking for guests. Some rides and attractions do have height requirements. You can easily find them at the entrance of each ride and on the Island H2O Live! app. If you’re worried about your personal belongings while you’re enjoying the rides, lockers are available to rent.
Last but not least, make sure that you bring your own towels because the park doesn’t provide them. If you forget them at home, you can definitely buy them at the MEMEntos shop in the park.
Our Favorite Rides
There are so many rides to choose from at Island H2O Live!. Most of the rides have height and weight limit minimum requirements for safety reasons but T was able to enjoy most of the rides throughout the park. 42″ – 48″ is the minimum height requirement for most of the larger slides. If you’re not sure of your height or your child’s height, you can check before you get onto the ride.
Reply Racers was one of Tatiana’s favorites! She went on it more than 3 times. With 6 lanes, you can easily race your friends and family down the slide to the finish line.
If you’re looking for a ride that you can ride with a partner or group, consider hopping on one of the following: The Downloader, Follow Me Falls, Reload Rapids, Hashtag Heights or Profile Plunge.
Private Domain Pool
Private Domain is the perfect oasis for adults. This area of the park is for adults 21 and older. It’s a great place to relax and enjoy the sun without the kids. The pool is only 4′ deep. If you’re wanting to take things up a notch, you can consider renting a cabana in the Private Domain area.
Best Places for Kids
One of the things that I love the most about this Orlando water park is that there is so much to do for kids. Candy Stripe Cove and Pelican’s Paradise will keep any kid busy all day long. Filled with colorful slides, an obstacle course, and a pool – these two areas are perfect for the little ones. One thing to note is that kids under 6 years old need to be accompanied by someone at least 16 years old while playing in these areas.
Each area throughout the park has a certified lifeguard on duty.
Immersive Technology Attractions
One feature that makes Island H2O Live! stand out from the other Orlando water parks are there immersive technology attractions and features. Throughout the park you can find Selfie Shacks to take selfies with decorative backdrops matching the theme park’s decor. With your RFID wristband you can download your photos straight from the app once they are uploaded.
Be Live! is probably one of my favorite attractions in the park. In the shacks, you’re able to record short live clips and broadcast them to your friends and family who weren’t able to join you at the park.
Ticket Info
Tickets are super affordable starting at just $49.99 for General Admission entry. If you buy your tickets online in advance you can even get them for a bit cheaper. If you’re local to the area, annual passes are something to consider. For only $89.99 + tax, you can enjoy the park year round. That’s a major steal!
You can earn park perks with your admission. Scan your RFID wristband throughout the park to earn points. With the points, you can earn free merchandise, food, and drinks. How cool is that?
