I’m a sucker for timeless wardrobe essentials but I love a good trendy piece too. I’m sharing 6 Spring trends that you should be giving a try.

Spring is finally here! The weather this year has been so funny. One week it’s cold and one week it’s insanely hot. I’m so happy that Spring has arrived. I no longer have to dream of hanging out by the pool or lounging on the beach. I’m excited to officially bring out the spring fashion and say goodbye to all things winter-related. I’m even more thrilled for spring this year because the fashion is on point.
You know I love a comfy and timeless look but I love getting in on the trends too, as long as they’re not too crazy of course. There’s so many adorable spring trends and I couldn’t wait to start adding them to my wardrobe. If you haven’t had the chance to do a little spring shopping just yet, it’s a good idea to keep in mind what some of the biggest trends are as you look through the racks at your favorite stores. What’s trending for spring, you might ask? Keep reading and I’ll let you in on a few little secrets!
6 Spring Trends You Should Be Wearing
1. Ballerina shoes
If you were jonesing for some new spring/summer sandals, I’ve got the perfect style for you! A feminine update on last year’s gladiator sandals, the footwear you’ll see all season long is a mix between ballerina lace-ups and gladiators. They elongate your legs in ways you didn’t think were possible, especially with the heeled versions!
2. Flowy sleeves
As far as tops go this season, it’s all about the romantic, billowy sleeves. It’s something about those flowy sleeves that get me every single time. The right top with the perfect flowy sleeves will leave you feeling more comfortable in your own skin than ever. I love a good pattern too! One of my favorite things about this dress is not only that it hugs my body but the sleeves and pattern compliment my skin.

3. Bare shoulders
Bare shoulders are in! As a matter of fact, I don’t think they should ever be out. There’s something that’s just so sexy about a little bare shoulder. I love the bare shoulder trend because it’s season appropriate and there are so many styles to choose from! You can opt for the shoulders cut out or off-the-shoulder styles. It’s a new and classy way to show a little skin while keeping the mystery intact.
4. Block heel sandals
I don’t know about you but sometimes I don’t want to break out my sky high stilettos. Block heel sandals are the perfect alternative. I honestly can’t even tell you how many pairs of these I own. I think I own at least 7 pairs in different colors. They’re way comfier than my stilettos and I can walk around in them for hours. I love packing them for travel and wearing them to school functions with T.

5. Polka Dots
Have you gotten in on the polka dots trend yet? I remember growing up in the 90s, polka dots definitely weren’t a thing but now I can’t get enough of them. It’s one of the reasons I fell in love with this dress. Whether you’re styling jeans with a fun polka dot top or wearing a polka dot dress with the perfect silhouette for your shape, you’re sure to turn heads. The ultra-feminine print will catch anyone’s attention.
6. Asymmetrical skirts
I’m so happy that asymmetrical skirts are making a come back. I will say that my one pet peeve about them is that not everyone can pull them off. Unfortunately they don’t compliment every body shape. When I’m out shopping I have to be careful about the length of the skirt. I’m on the shorter side, so an asymmetrical skirt that is too long would look so wrong in so many ways. When you’re on the hunt to add this trend to your wardrobe, make sure to head in-stores for a try-on session before making your purchase. Try it on with both flats and heels to make sure that the style is flattering for your shape.
