You always want to be prepared for anything spring break throws at you so I’m sharing a few of our top spring break packing tips.
Spring Break Packing Tips
Spring break is finally here and we couldn’t be more excited. This weekend we’re taking a small trip to West Palm Beach to handle some things for our wedding but we plan on making it adventurous by heading to the beach. The weather is finally warming up and the water is too so it’s about time we make a trip to the beach. I think we’ve finally got packing for weekend trips down to a science so today I’ve teamed up with OshKosh B’gosh to share some of our spring break packing tips with you.
Tip #1: Pack smart.
When packing for spring break, whether it’s a week long trip or a weekend getaway, always be sure to pack smartly. Think about every possible scenario because with kids you’ll never know what will happen. When we’re going on a trip there are a few things that we always put in our bags: an umbrella, a hat, sunscreen, and a vest/jacket.
Tip #2: Flats are always a must.
T absolutely loves wearing open-toed shoes and OshKosh B’gosh has tons of fashionable options to choose from. Flats will allow for your little one to be comfy and let their toes soak up the sun when you’re on vacay. They’ll also allow for your kiddies to take them off and put them on easily.
Tip #3: Stock up on mix and match pieces.
If your little fashionista/o is anything like T, they always want to dress themselves. By stocking up on mix and match pieces they can pair any top with a bottom without you having to worry whether or not it matches. I learned this trick the hard way. After countless trips of packing perfectly paired looks, I gave up. I started packing mix and match pieces so that T could easily pick out her own clothes which would make her happy and speed up the process of getting ready every day.
Tip #4: Save money by shopping early.
Waiting until the last minute to get your shopping done will only cause you to spend more money. We’ve made this mistake a few times and most recently on our trip to Washington, DC. Plan out what pieces you’ll need ahead of time and head to OshKosh B’gosh to get all of your shopping done before you leave. Remember to snag everything from sunnies to swimsuits.
