Are you on a time crunch but hoping to experience the best LA has to offer? Here’s a quick guide for exploring LA in 24 hours.
On our recent trip to Palm Springs, we hit the road and headed to LA for 24 hours. Visiting Hollywood was something that was at the top of Tatiana’s list once she found out we were going to California. We were determined to experience as much as possible in LA in 24 hours. Hitting all of the hot spots, eating the best food, and taking everything in was our goal.
Tips for Exploring Hollywood in 24 Hours
1.Make a list
Before we headed to LA, we each wrote down 3 things we absolutely had to do while in LA. Creating a short bucket list would mean that we would each get to do our top 3 things on the list. Some of the things on our list were eating at Roscoe’s Chicken and Waffles, seeing the Hollywood sign, and walking down Hollywood Blvd to see the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
2. Book your hotel in the heart of Hollywood
To maximize your time while exploring Hollywood, you’ll want to find a hotel that is close to all of the attractions in Hollywood. Our hotel was within walking distance of the Hollywood Walk of Fame and many of the other spots on our bucket list.
3. Pack snacks
One of the things that saved us tons of time was having a backpack full of snacks and water so that we didn’t have to make any stops for snacks in between meals. This is helpful especially if you’re traveling with kids.
4. Plan your itinerary
The bucket list you made will come in handy when planning your itinerary. You’ll want to know where all of your stops are located and what their hours are. You may also want to take into consideration the best time of day to visit an attraction based on the lighting for photos. For example, you’ll want to visit the Hollywood Sign during the “golden hour” to get the best lighting for your photos.
5. Eat on the go if you can
If there aren’t too many food spots that you’re dying to try while in Hollywood, you might want to consider eating on the go to save time. We opted to eat breakfast on the go, sit down for lunch, and Uber Eats for dinner back at our hotel to maximize our time in Hollywood.
6. Start early
We started exploring LA as soon as we got into town. Our first stop was Roscoe’s Chicken and Waffles. We wanted to make sure that our stomachs were full before we started exploring.
