A Play-by-Play of Our College Game Day Routine

Tips for Getting Ready for College Game Day | Bianca Dottin

Thank you to Mirum for sponsoring today’s conversation. However, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

It’s football season which means every Saturday for the next couple months will be filled with college football games. We love spending time together as a family watching the games and cheering on our favorite teams. We’ve been going to games for so long that by now we have our college game day routine down pact.

The very first thing that we do before starting our game day routine is going shopping. We head to Sam’s Club to make sure that we have everything that we need for game day. If we’re hosting a homegating party, we stock up on snacks and drinks. For tailgating, we get snacks and drinks plus we always pack up our team chairs and tent. An essential in our game day routine is AXE Black Fragrance and Caress Daily Silk Body Wash. We love how both of these products go so well together and that we can buy them in bulk at Sam’s Club. Buying in bulk allows us to save money and have extra to spend on game day. The Caress Daily Silk Body Wash always leaves us feeling confident and ready to beat our opposing team. I love the smell of the AXE Black Fragrance on my husband. Not only does he use the body wash but he loves to use the deodorant and body spray as well.

Now that I’ve shared where we shop for our essentials, here’s a play by play of our game day routine.

Game Day Pre-Prep

  1. Plan out which games you’ll attend and which games you’ll homegate.
  2. Buy the best seats in the house for every game.
  3. Invite your friends to come along too.
  4. Head to Sam’s Club for all your game day essentials.
  5. Use the Sam’s Club Scan & Go app to make your shopping easy and stress free.

Game Day Prep

  1.  Pick out comfortable clothing for the entire family. Tatiana and I tend to usually go for shorts/jeans or a t-shirt depending on the whether. My husband always wears basketball shorts and his favorite pair of crazy socks with a hat for shade.
  2. Shower using the AXE Black Fragrance and Caress Daily Silk Body Wash.
  3. Get dressed feeling confident about game day.
  4. Head to the game listening to your favorite game day tunes.
  5. Tailgate and have family fun before the game.
  6. Watch, enjoy, and have fun!

I’m not a big football fan and I probably have only attended home coming games but I like the fact that you have a routine with the family. I love family time and traditions. These are things that your children will always remember and want to do with there children.

Love this routine! We are big football watchers so we usually get our errands out the way before the game or afterward depending on the time of the game and if we are having a party or not.

You guys have got it down! I have friends who shut everything down when their favorite teams are playing. It’s serious business!
