6 Tips for Feeling More Confident in Those Summer Bathing Suits - Bianca Dottin

Summer is one of my favorite seasons. It has been since I was a kid. There’s just something about the freedom that comes with summer that is so nostalgic. Before having kids, I used to love wearing bikini sets. Needless to say things have changed now. After two kids, my body isn’t exactly in bikini shape. These days the it takes a little more to be confident in those summer bathing suits.

Whether it’s the sand between my toes at the beach or lounging out by the pool, confidence is something that I want to have all summer long. Here’s a few of my go-to tips for feeling more confident in your bathing suits this summer.

6 Tips for Feeling More Confident in Those Summer Bathing Suits

1. Pick a bathing suit that fits your body shape best.

Finding the right suit can be difficult. When shopping, keep your body shape in mind. Try on the suits while shopping to make sure it’s exactly the fit you’re going for.

2. Don’t be afraid to try patterns or colors.

I love patterned bathing suits. Each season there’s a new influx of patterns that I can’t resist shopping. Polka dots is one of my favorites. Don’t be afraid to try patterns and colored suits. They’re fun and can the patterns can be used to draw attention and accentuate the right parts of your body.

When I’m shopping for colored suits, picking a color that compliments my skin tone looks best. Black, yellow, and red are my colors! Pink is fun too. I decided to choose those colors because I get the most compliments when wearing them.

3. Try a two piece swimsuit that is high waisted.

After having kids, it took me years to go back to wearing a two-piece bikini set. There’s something I just love about a high waisted bikini. It can bring some major confidence to your summer suit wearing days.

4. A bikini wax at Waxing The City is a must.

For some extra added confidence, a bikini wax is a must. This was my first time visiting Waxing The City. I visited the location in Altamonte Springs. When I arrived, I instantly fell in love with the studio. The design was modern and eye-catching. They had all the products I needed in the After Care Zone for maintenance. My experience was amazing! I’ve never had a more seamless, painless wax. The process was quick and easy. My cerologist (wax expert) knew exactly what she was doing and talked me through the entire process. I definitely plan on going back in about 4 weeks for another wax. I might even give a brow wax a try too. Did you know that when waxing is done consistently, hair grows back slower, finer, and sparser, giving you better long-term results?

If you’re planning on wearing your favorite summer bathing suits all season long, I would definitely suggest you get a wax at Waxing The City. First time guests can receive 50% off their service. Visit waxingthecity.com to schedule your service.

5. Go for classic black.

You can never go wrong with classic black. Black looks amazing on everyone and can accentuate your curves in your suit. Whenever I’m feeling least confident, I throw on my black bathing suit.

6. Add a smile to go with your suit.

A smile makes everything look better. Once you’ve got the right suit for your body and have completed your wax, you’re all set for your next vacation.

Black is always a great choice for a swimsuit. It’s slimming, and it’s so flattering. I LOVE your pick. You look great.

Waxing has definitely always made me nervous. It would last way longer than shaving though! Your suit is so very cute with the detailing up top.

I love your swim suit…you look lovely in it! I always stress about being out in a swim suit…but I do it anyway for my kids! Getting a good wax is a must too.

I am very self conscious of wearing a bathing suit, not only do I cover up to be modest but I am trying to lose weight. I have not purchased a new swim suit in years but once I lose this last 40 lbs I will be buying a new one!
