Neutrogena Light Therapy acne spot treatment - Bianca Dottin

Ever since I was a kid, my skin has been somewhat of a nightmare. I was literally the only one among my friends who had such bad acne. Can you imagine what that was like? I’ll admit I didn’t have the best skincare routine in my teens but as I got older it got better.

The older I got the more proactive I became about taking care of my skin so I could feel more confident every day. So I started trying different skincare routines and treatments. Needless to say, there were so many things that didn’t work for me. One of the things that I never thought about trying was light therapy. It was way too expensive for me to afford in high school off of my retail job paycheck. When I became an adult I didn’t even think to try it. I got so busy that my skincare routine wasn’t a priority anymore.

Then one day during one of our shopping trips to Walmart, I came across the Neutrogena® Light Therapy line of products. I was shocked because light therapy products were Once only available in Dermatologists’ offices. Now I could have access to try light therapy is now available at home with this patented acne spot treatment. It’s clinically proven to have visible results in as little as 1 week with results improving over time so I figured why not give it a try. It was in my budget, costing less than $20, and lightweight which means I can carry it with me when I’m traveling so that my skincare routine doesn’t fall by the wayside.

Neutrogena Light Therapy Skincare Routine Steps

My skincare routine with the Neutrogena Light Therapy Acne Spot Treatment is simple and easy to keep up with no matter how busy I get.

Step One

First, I start by removing my makeup with the Neutrogena® Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes. With a few simple swipes all of my makeup is removed.

Step Two

After my makeup is removed I can wash my face. I love using the Neutrogena® Fresh Foaming Cleanser. The foaming cleanser is gentle on my skin and removes any dirt without over-drying. One of my favorite things about the cleanser is that it’s hypoallergenic so I don’t have to worry about any additional breakouts when using it.

Step Three

Once my face is clean and free of makeup and dirt, I can pull out my Neutrogena® Light Therapy Acne Spot Treatment device. It’s quick and easy to use. In under two minutes, I can treat a single acne spot without using any chemicals, salicylic acid, or harmful UV rays. The red and blue lights gently filter through my skin to target acne causing bacteria, reducing the appearance of breakouts.

What’s incredible about using a Neutrogena Light Therapy skincare routine is that it’s affordable. Light therapy in a dermatologist’s office could cost up to $500 but thanks to Neutrogena I can purchase the light therapy mask, for times when my acne gets really bad, or the acne spot treatment without breaking the bank.

I’ve always had trouble with feeling confident in my skin. My skin hasn’t always been in the best shape so to hide my acne scars and spots I would wear makeup every time I would leave the house. Since starting my Neutrogena light therapy skincare routine I’ve felt more confident about leaving home without having to wear makeup every day. I recently had a facial that used two different kinds of light on my skin. It’s awesome to see that Neutrogena offers me that experience at home for an affordable price!

I want to get this for my daughter. Her sister picks at all her zits and it drives me (and her) crazy! I bet this light wand will help and be painless.

I would recommend giving this a try! Picking will only make it worse. I had that problem and it resulted in scarring. It’s hard not to pick at it but it’s better than having scars that are hard to get rid of.

Skin care products are a good investment. Nowadays, more women are seeing the benefits of buying quality products to take care of their skin without having to visit the dermatologist. I’m wearing makeup every day so it’s a must to have proper skincare routine.

My daughter is an adult now but she still gets breakouts. I can barely see them but they really bother her. I’m going to share this with her and see if she thinks it will help.
