The Beach House Restaurant is beyond amazing! It’s one of my newfound favorite restaurants that we discovered on our trip to the Gulf Islands. I’m not even sure where to start bragging about The Beach House. When we got to Bradenton Beach, the restaurant was the first thing that I noticed on our way to the hotel. The building is beautiful and it is on the beach.
When we arrived at The Beach House Restaurant, we were seated outside. The view was breathtaking and the perfect place to have a sunset dinner. Tatiana loved sitting outside because she was able to hear and see the ocean. One of the things that stood out to me the most about the outside seating was the amber lighting. During turtle nesting season, The Beach House Restaurant utilizes amber lighting so that the baby turtles won’t get confused. It was so great to be able to see all of the turtle nests by the restaurant and teach Tatiana about the turtles.
Now, on to the food. OH MY GOSH! This might have been one of the best meals I’ve ever had in my life! There were so many tasty meal options on the menu that I couldn’t choose. Thankfully the staff was beyond helpful and had some great recommendations. We started with a few appetizers: hog thai’, hush puppies, and chicken wings. All which were so delicious. I never thought that I would eat hog but after eating it wrapped in bibb lettuce with pineapple and peanut sauce, I would order it again. The hush puppies were made from scratch and melted in your mouth with every bite. They were a little too spicy for me but I just could not stop eating them.
Then…the entrees: Wild Boar and Mountain Cook Salmon. Sounds amazing right? Well I promise that it tastes as good if not better than it sounds. Boar is another one of those crazy meats that I would never catch myself ordering, and to be quite honest I asked The Mr. to order it for that exact reason. I wasn’t sure if I was going to like it so I took it upon myself to order it for him. That shit was bomb!!!!!!
I can literally taste it while I’m typing. The wild boar was served with potato cakes. Potato cakes are the best invention since sliced bread. I could eat one of those with every meal. It’s the perfect mix of savory, crunchy goodness that melts in your mouth with every bite. Seriously, if you want to win my heart take me to eat at The Beach House Restaurant and order me the wild boar with potato cakes. I’ll love you forever.
The Beach House Restaurant is definitely at the top of my favorite restaurant list and I wouldn’t hesitate to eat there again. The food is delicious, the service is top notch, and the view is breathtaking.
