Last weekend, my husband and I ventured to a new part of town. We wanted to try something new for lunch and Lake Nona has tons of new up-and-coming restaurants. We decided on Chroma, a modern bar and kitchen that serves tapas style dishes. This was our first time here and we’ve never heard anything about it but decided to just go for it. When we arrived, I immediately fell in love with the restaurant. The vibe was modern and reminded me of somewhere we ate while in DC.
I could vision Chroma being the perfect place for millennials and young professionals. They have a wide variety of menu items and all of their ingredients are farm to table. Even though they serve tapas style dishes, you will leave very full.
During our lunch date we nibbled on deviled eggs, lamb ribs, short rib burgers, bbq wings, shrimp, and french fries. The fries and burgers were probably my favorite items! Any place that has a good burger and fries wins me over. After our main meal, we moved on to dessert. I chose the apple crumble and hubby chose a butterscotch toffee bread pudding. Both were beyond delicious especially when paired with the house made salted caramel gelato.
For our lunch date, I kept my look pretty simple by styling this super cute off the shoulder top that I scored in Marshalls for under $20 with some grey jeans. I threw on my new favorite block heels, saddlebag, and sunnies from the Foster Grant Item 8 collection and called it a day. Have you every ventured to a new part of town to try something new?
