My family received complimentary meals to experience ECHO during our stay at The King and Prince Beach & Golf Resort, but all opinions expressed here are my own.Finding a good place to eat when traveling is 90% of the battle because my family is extremely picky. Luckily, the hotel we were staying at had a restaurant that I knew we had to try before we arrived. I love trying new places to eat so I’m a chronic Googler when it comes to finding new spots. I came across ECHO and they had amazing reviews so I added it to our list of restaurants to try while we were in St. Simons. Needless to say, we fell in love with ECHO after dining there for breakfast and dinner.
5 Reasons to Dine at ECHO When in St. Simons Island
1. Great, fresh selection of menu items.
ECHO offers a wide variety of items on their menu from burgers to chicken to seafood which is great because my family is definitely a bunch of picky eaters. Kudos to the Chef and his team because everyone loved their meals! We had nothing to worry about at ECHO. All of our dishes were perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection.
2. Multiple seating options perfect for any party size
One thing that is definitely a plus is that there is a variety of seating. Whether you’re a booth or table person, ECHO has the perfect seating for you. They have beautiful booths, tables with the cutest comfy chairs, and a super stylish bar. We were lucky enough to have a booth for dinner and a table with an ocean view for breakfast.
3. Family friendly environment
It’s a great place for families! Their kid menus are filled with healthy options that any kid would love and the portion sizes are perfect. Not too much, not too little. Tatiana was thrilled with her eggs and sausage for breakfast. So thrilled that she cleaned her plate!
4. Beautiful view
Part of the restaurant has a breathtaking ocean view! I loved sitting at a table near the window when we ate breakfast. Something about the ocean first thing in the morning is so serene and calming. The view is definitely a great addition to your meal.
5. With every bite, you’re taking in a piece of history.
ECHO not only serves great food but there is also an amazing story behind its’ name. The name comes from the St. Simons Island’s naval history. During World War II, ECHO housed officers’ quarters, classrooms, and towers that were used to amplify radar signals to allies. The bar served as an after-hours gathering spot for soldiers.
I like to call ECHO an experience. It isn’t a restaurant that you go to if you’re in a hurry because you want to experience everything that they have to offer. Their spin on classic dishes is refreshing and honestly, just so damn (excuse my French) good! During our stay, we only got to experience their breakfast and dinner menu but we are dying to go back to try out the lunch menu that ECHO has to offer. I’m sure it’s nothing short of spectacular.
