7 Things to Love About the 2017 Ford Edge

7 Things to Love About the 2017 Ford Edge | Bianca Dottin

If you follow me on Instagram or Facebook, you know that we took a trip to Lido Beach Resort last weekend.  We partnered with Your Southern Ford Dealers and Mullinax Ford to take a trip in the 2017 Ford Edge. Our trip was one that we really needed. Since school and all of Tatiana’s back to school activities have started, we’ve been so busy so a little breather to get grounded was in order. When we picked up the Edge, Tatiana and I gave you guys a first look on my Instastories. We shared our first impressions and showed you all of our favorite features. Now, I want to share with you 7 things to love about the 2017 Ford Edge.

1.Every safety and technology feature your heart desires.

Let’s start with safety first. My husband always insists that I need every single safety feature that man ever invented. I’m not sure why though because he loves when I drive. Anyways, the Edge has tons of them. Cruise control and park assist were probably my most used features during our trip. Oh, and did I mention that the Edge has a 5-star crash safety rating?

The technology in the Edge is no joke! Of course Tatiana loves the SiriusXM™ because she can listen to Disney Radio and Kids Bop whenever she wants, but I love the Apple Car Play. I was able to sync my phone to the car with bluetooth or USB for the perfect hands-free driving experience. This was our first time to Sarasota so using the navigation was a must and the SYNC® 3 technology made it easy.

2. Smooth sailing the entire ride.

Our 2-hour drive to Sarasota was so smooth. When it started raining and flooding, we barely even noticed a difference in how the Edge drove.

3. Reclining backseats.

Our car doesn’t have reclining backseats so when Tatiana found out that her seat reclined it was like a dream come true. 9 times out of 10 Tatiana will fall asleep on a road trip. Being able to recline so that she’s more comfortable and in a safer position is important.

4. The foot activated lift gate is every parent’s dream.

I’ve never driven a car with a foot activated lift gate. I’ve always seen the Ford commercials and imagined how amazing it would be to have one. We tried out the lift gate before we even left the lot with Ford Edge. It was everything I imagined it would be. The entire weekend we took advantage of the lift gate and loved it.

5. You could have a camping night in the trunk or even watch a drive-in movie.

The trunk space seems like it’s never ending. There was no shortage of space for our bags. One of the reasons that you’ll love the Ford Edge is for the trunk space. What’s even better is that the backseats fold down in case you need even more space. Think about how much stuff you log around not only on a daily basis but when you’re traveling. If you’re going camping, you can fit all of your camping gear in there with no problem. You could even have a cute little camping or movie night in your driveway from the trunk. Put a movie on the garage door and you’re good to go!

6. Panoramic roof for unforgettable views.

One of the things that we love to do when visiting a new place is watching the sunset. The panoramic roof in the Edge is perfect for watching the sun and the moon on any given day while allowing the perfect breeze in.

7. Stylish and sophisticated design.

One thing that everyone can agree on is that the 2017 Ford Edge has a stylish and sophisticated design. No matter what you’re wearing, the Edge will compliment your look. The attention to detail throughout the Edge is impeccable. I love the sleek, modern design.

Have you checked out the 2017 Ford Edge? I would love to hear your thoughts.
